Church of the White God Organization in Ruslavia | World Anvil

Church of the White God

Headed by the high leader Papa Gregori, the Church of the White God is one of the two main sects of the Orthobog religion. Followers of the Church of the White God follow the light of the god Belabog and shun darkness of his brother god Chernabog. Its capital is the Gora Monastery, which is situated in the northern Vysota Mountain Range of the Cherti Mountains.

Structure

The Church of the White God is divided into three orders: the Kultura, the Mishkinaries and the Inkvitsition.
Kultura Order: The Kultura oversee the cultural development of the church and commission great works of art, literature and music to promote and celebrate the glory of Belabog.
Mishkinary Order: The Miskinaries, overseen by Disciple Mishki, spread the religion across the rest of Ruslavia, whether that be in the high courts as ambassadors or spies, or among the pagan peasants who live in the villages.
Inkvitsition: When the Mishkinary efforts are unsuccessful, the final order, the Inkvitsition, is called in. This terrifying band of inquisitors and judges has more direct methods for ensuring conversion. They also weed out the (alleged) heretics and remenants of the pagan lifestyle within the church itself.

Enemy Sects of the Same Religion

The two churches of Orthobog hate each other with a passion. The Church of the Black God believes the Church of the White God are tyrants, while the Church of the White God believes the Church of the Black God are sinners.
