Description
A red-skinned tiefling from
Redfell, Lore is the only other member of that community to have attended Strixhaven in living memory. He had, by chance, saved a traveling merchant from choking. The merchant in turn gave Lore the funds to attend Strixhaven.
Lore never returned to Redfell after departing for his fear year. Those who knew assumed he was killed or sold into slavery, and many stopped discussing it over the years.
Mistake unknowingly rekindled many of these fears when she similarly left for Strixhaven a few decades later.
Family
Like most Redfell tieflings, Lore was from a small family with no siblings. His parents died of an illness that swept the community several winters ago. Though Lore was generally amicable, he was more introverted and didn’t have many other close relationships.
Year 1 Involvement
Mistake first heard of Lore through
Professor Mirsha Gahlván, who told her of the accidental death he was involved in during his first year at Strixhaven. She didn’t learn the name of the Redfell tiefling slain in that encounter until later, when
Jordyn told her. Lore’s death explained many of the odd rumors from back home.
It wasn’t until the end of the year that Professor Mirsha explained that the deaths were in fact reversed. Lore had killed Mirsha, and a desperate plea granted him a ring that changed his shape into Mirsha’s. He’s taken that identity since to save himself from imprisonment or worse, letting the world believe Lore died that day.
