The other first year student sponsored by Professor Mirsha Gahlván, along with Mistake. She brings her pet aquatic flumph with her to Strixhaven, which she’d named Wumplefrump when she first got the pet when she was five years old. She was housed in Golwanda Tower due to its multi-floor aquarium allowing her to properly care for the creature.Year 1 Involvement
The F Squad first met Jordyn in person in the Scriptoria, where the rogue clockwork servant was holding her captive. Jordyn had realized the servant’s true target was Professor Gahlván and, thinking quickly, draped a red and silver cloak over a statue. As long as Jordyn remained hidden in the nearby canal, the servant attacked the statue instead. Though the F Squad stopped the servant and saved Jordyn, Mistake blamed herself for letting the situation happen at all. Had she been able to find the rogue robot when she searched for it days before, it never would have been able to go after Jordyn. Later in the year, Jordyn and Mistake became closer friends. They developed a color code using their dorm room lights to send messages to each other across the quad. Jordyn confessed to Mistake that she found Larine to be overbearing as a friend, and believed Larine used her to “prove” she wasn’t racist. After the owlbear rampage, Jordyn studied a severed owlbear arm and determined the creatures were dead prior to being infected with eldritch balm. In other words, the Oriq hadn’t been able to infect living creatures, easing a significant worry. She used knowledge gained from this to help Gary create the eldritch balm neutralizer.
