Warforged

Warforged were created in the time of myth and magic by the gnomes, using mysterious and secret technologies and magic. No one expected them to be truly alive; some say they have souls and true names like creatures born from nature.
No warforged are known to have survived the Age of Darkness when magic left Rolara. However, when the Dragon Emperor of Kimokotan discovered a hidden society of gnomes and enslaved them, he had them develop new Warforged.
This new breed of warforged can not have been "born" before the year 398 on the Tatharian Calendar.

Basic Information

Anatomy

Warforged are genderless, however their bodies can be crafted in many body types, as required or desired by the Gnome builder. Some adopt a gender identity, some reject it, and some grapple with the concept altogether. Some warforged believe they are reincarnated, and take the gender of their presumed past life.

Genetics and Reproduction

It isn't clear whether or not Warforged mate or feel emotions such as love; no warforged can produce offspring. As constructs, new warforged can only be crafted by a Gnome who controls the Demon Forge.
Most warforged are built with utility in mind, and that utility was never meant to fully mimic or replace biological life.
Though their origins are unclear, it is rumored that the Imperial Consorts of the King of Jiaohai are warforged. These consorts are officially part of the King's harem, but their participation in the bedroom is entirely speculative.
Currently, it is assumed that warforged cannot produce offspring.

Growth Rate & Stages

Each warforged is created for its intended purpose, most commonly, War. They are complete upon birth.

Dietary Needs and Habits

Warforged do not need to eat, drink, sleep, or breathe air.
