Muhafiz (/muːˈhɑː.fɪz/, moo-HAH-feez)

The Muhafiz are the law enforcers of Al-Zaluma, charged with the security and safety of the city, its citizens, and its honored guests. Among them are many men and women dedicated to their team mates, willing to risk life and limb for each other; however, the Muhafiz is thought of by the public to be corrupt, and not of much use for anything other than record keeping and taking bribes. Despite this, there are a few beacons of Justice among the Rakib who patrol the streets.
