First Repulsion
The Conflict
Prelude
The uncivilized hordes of the North mastered the use of Winged Cavalry units and began raiding Ancient Jiao cities along the Tong River.
Outcome
Tamped-earth walls were constructed between fortresses that were less than 20 miles apart. Overweight with stolen gold and treasures and slaves, often their Winged Cavalry units had to walk back to the North. These walls slowed them down and allowed the Jiao warriors to attack with the high ground for once.
Aftermath
The north-western corner of Ofica was never reclaimed by anyone of Jiao - Ethnicity heritage.
Historical Significance
Technological Advancement
And incredibly cost efficient and massively effect way to build large and thick defensive walls using tamped-earth filler was remarkably ingenious. The earth fill was often removed from other important construction projects and resused in the wall projects. The method has stood the test of time and several centuries later these walls are still near impenetrable.
