CL-47, aka "Clerk"
CL-47, mockingly referred to as “Clerk” by the Indents, is an Imperial-issue administrative droid, designed for efficient, emotionless labor management. Unlike a human bureaucrat, CL-47 has no fear, no hesitation, and no pity. It follows the Eternal Empire labor codes with machine precision, processing work permits, indenture records, and disciplinary actions with the cold detachment of an automaton. CL-47 does not comprehend mercy or human suffering—only productivity metrics and efficiency reports. If an Indent falls behind on their quota, they are flagged for “restructuring.” If records show an escape attempt, a termination order is sent. However, beneath its obedient programming, there are traces of something else. Corruption in its data logs? A forgotten directive? If someone could access its core memory, they might uncover classified Empire secrets—or even plant a falsified work release.
Appearance
A tall, skeletal warforged, with tarnished brass plating and cold blue optics that flicker as it processes information. Stamped on its chestplate is the Imperial sigil, and along its right arm are engraved barcodes listing every Indent it has processed—thousands of names, etched in tiny, precise script. Its voice is monotone, emotionless, and eerily polite.
