The Eternal Empire has ruled for centuries, established by Merlin the first Wizard, and now controlled by Emperor Illidan Van Emrys, a descendant of Merlin. The Empire controls Avalon and Orpheus with an iron fist, using a blend of magic, military power, and divine authority to justify its dominance. The Empire’s coat of arms is a black phoenix rising from flames, symbolizing its eternal rise and rebirth, reinforced by the arcane symbols of magic that surround it. This symbol is everywhere: on banners, armor, and the equipment of the Empire's soldiers.

The Order of Merlin

This elite organization governs all magical knowledge and serves the Emperor directly. Magic is tightly regulated, and only those sanctioned by the Empire may wield it freely.

System Lords

Powerful rulers who govern regions across Avalon, Orpheus, and Tethys. These lords maintain strict control over their territories, enforcing imperial law and reaping the rewards of Orpheus’s resources.

The Chantry

The Chantry is the religious arm of the Eternal Empire, responsible for enforcing spiritual and magical order. They justify the Empire’s control by claiming that its rulers are chosen by the gods to protect and wield this power. The Chantry’s Inquisitors, tasked with rooting out heresy and rebellion, use divine magic to ensure loyalty and obedience to the Empire’s rule.

The United Colonies

The United Colonies were established to oversee the imperial colonies off world as well as establish further colonization for the Empire's interests. The United Colonies play a major role on Orpheus.
