Battle of Tymbren Military Conflict in Rivendom | World Anvil

Battle of Tymbren

The Battle of Tymbren was a pivotal engagement toward the end of Unkent invasion of the Material Realm.   Following a pitched battle deep within the dwarvenholds of Kassar, the Wardens of the Wayward defeated a lich and an atropal, thereby ending the undead invasion of most of Sekhar's major cities and banishing Brovak,Death-Defied, one of the aspects of Volugar, Thrice-Crowned, back to the Unkent. This act, however, proved to only be the opening salvo of a battle that would determine the fate of all reality.   Following the destruction of the atropal, the armies of the Galbad of Yesterday took advantage of the weakened veil between the Shardscape and the Material Realm in the dwarvenhold, to break through with their armada. This act collapsed the mountain on Kassar and the dwarvenholds below, the Wardens only barely managing to escape.   With the help of Valathir, the beradiena god of wisdom and wanderlust, the Wardens were able to muster forces to stand against the oncoming Galbadian forces. Among the notable characters present at the defense of Tymbren were the wolf gods Skoln and Hath, the Lady Veýs, Merano'a, and other versions of the Wardens from parallel worlds.   The defenders were ultimately outmanned and outmatched. Despite each being extremely powerful in their own right, the Galbadians had the advantage of numbers and technology. Nevertheless, the objective was not to defeat the forces assailing Tymbren, but rather to stall the invasion for as long as was necessary for the Wardens to confront Volugar, Thrice Crowned and cut off the head of the enemy forces.

This is an excellent overview of this battle. You've got all the basic stuff you need to know here, so if you were reading a book and someone referred to this battle, you would have enough of an idea about what's going on that people would be able to follow. If you were doing this for the badge, awesome! If you are doing this as a military conflict with serious competition intentions, I would just want to see it fleshed out a bit more. Look to the template, especially the section on "sides," and make use of them to give us a more complete view. Either way, well done and thanks for the interesting read!
