AnnonRose

Government

Being a completely new city built from the ground up by the kingdom, it hosts a beautiful capital building for the king and queen to stay in when they visit the city. Although when not used by the royal family it is used by the Rhosaya district's head representative.

Defences

AnnonRose is the only city outside of the Anniy district that has Atlan Defenders patrolling the streets around the clock. And, due to its high number of ethnic Atlans/nobles, it is a relatively low area for crime overall.

Industry & Trade

The city is surrounded by many farming communities which is where the city gets it's main export from, fruits. Being in such a central point in many trading routes, many merchants stop at the city to sell goods before continuing its. The city's main source of income though are taxes and fees that it gives to bigger shipment ships that pass through the Fayr strait

Infrastructure

Being a relatively new city, compared to most large cities in Rhydar, it is filled with the latest technology and architectural innovation.

Assets

Its large, wide carriage, streets allow for various vendors and merchants to settle for the day without distracting any traffic flow. Unlike Rhosavelle, with the city not being designed for its high volume of people.

History

Fayrcic.jpg
by Simon Fetscher
Small fishing village of Fayrcic, merely AnnonRose's distant, forgotten, past.   Once just a small port town, called Farycic, of no real significance to the old Rhosaya Republic, it has now become the capital of the Rhosaya District in the Kingdom of Atla. The quick urbanization of this town drove many of the locals out of the area, but many other Rhydans from other parts of the Kingdom moved to the vacant city as it quickly became a centerpiece in boat travel for the kingdom. In a ploy to try and get more ethnic Rheyans into the city, and away from the crowded old capital of Rhosavelle, it was renamed AnnonRose. Meaning "Fire's of Rose" in Siara, this did nothing more than anger the locals who saw it as disrespectful to their culture and lead to more of a migration of Rheyans west. Though Rheyans live within the city and it might be the largest city and capital of the district, Rheyans still believe their true capital lays west, at Rhosavelle.

Architecture

The city shows the latest in Rhosaya/Atlan architecture. With a mixture of both cultures being shown in its architecture.

Geography

Beautiful rolling hills border the city to the north, which gives the city some space to expand. Although since many smaller farming communities surround the area, being an important farming area for the old republic, it would be unwise to ruin those communities for city expansion.

Natural Resources

The surrounding farmlands being many of their good to this port city to trade to other parts of the kingdom. But most of its goods are imported into the city, not being a very natural resource rich area.
