Wolf Culture

The culture of the Wolf dominates the northern reaches of Rhunec, the area called the Pine Coast. It is a way of life informed by the Wolf School of Magic, the cold snows that blanket the land, the urgency that life takes in order to survive.   The people of the wolf culture inhabit the farthest north portions of Rhunec, The Pine Coast. This area is constantly covered in snow and ice with thick pine forests. The people are extremely pale as a consequence. Blue or green eyes with bond hair are the norm. They are a muscular people with slightly below average height to better conserve warmth.   They are an extremely reserved culture and are not quick to make friendships or fall in love. They are aloof to everyone except their family and immediate communities. This is from the extreme pressures of the environment. People rely on their neighbors and families the most to survive. In an area where blizzards can bury a town in a night, the person to your left and right may be the only reasons you survive. With death and life seperated by a razor thin line, people of this culture are not quick to trust. However, once that trust is earned, Wolves will fight for you to the death. Wolf fighters are coveted for their loyalty and ferociety. They are also known as some of the fast people in all of Rhunec, often recruited by the Council of Stars to the shadowy group The Sworn.   The most common mark is that of the wolf, but sometimes, dragon or snake can appear as well. The Wolf Culture does not detest other signs, like the Snake Culture does. However, they are cold and aloof to everyone. They are clinical in their approach to people of the Crow Mark, often killing them in quiet executions or leaving surrendering them to the elements with no protection.   The largest cultural festival is Conquering the Heim which occurs on the Summer Solstice every year.
