Summer Camp Reading Challenge
My Summer Reading
Here are my summer reading articles, each of them written by a friend.
It's always fun when you recognize yourself in an article. In this case, it's quite literal as my husband wrote this article about me and one of my favorite characters ever.
Having also used "my butt" as the choice for this prompt, I was super excited to see a different take on this particular topographical topic. I laughted and laughted and laughed.
Being, myself, a legendary bard, I was super excited to find Jaime's take on such a person in his own world-building.
I will have more thoughts later on what I learned this year. It was a lot. And I have a lot to write about. And a lot of writing to do in general. I was hoping for more characters, and so I have several that I need to put into the world. It will get done. I learned a lot about myself this summer camp, and mostly in the reading challenge. With 210 articles to sort through I am so eternally grateful that the WA team decided that counts as the reading challenge for those of us who judge. I don't like doing short lists because I don't like disappointing people ahead of the reveal. I say that, because it's always how I feel when I read a short list and know that I wasn't on it. Just my way, not THE way.
I'm glad I could bring some levity to your day Haly!
