Squire of the Order
Requirements
A squire must be a member of one of the knightly houses. They must also be under the age of 13 when they begin their training.
Responsibilities
Squires must train daily in the art of combat, usually with sticks in place of swords. Squires must spend years learning at the Citadel about etiquette, tactics, mysticism, mathematics, the sciences, and much more. Finally, a squire must serve under a senior knight in the field for a period of at least 1 year.
Accoutrements & Equipment
Squires are not allowed to use a gunblade, but they are given a sword once they have proven themselves competent in stick fighting. Some squires practice with other forms of weapons as well. A squire's uniform generally consists of brown or black leather boots, white cloth breeches, a leather belt matching their boot color, blue cloth tunic, and armored blue fencing jacket.
Grounds for Removal/Dismissal
A squire may be removed from their class by the order of a senior knight. Dereliction of duties, failure to uphold the code of knighthood, and incompetence are all common reasons for removal.
