Runic

The Runic people are sturdy and proud people that generally reside in the Arda Valley and the plains to the east of the Arda Mountains. Historically, they were thought to have come from the lakelands and Saraelic Peninsula where the Saaric people now reside, then moved gradually eastwards towards the Ardic mountains which some of the Runic eventually crossed and gained great influence and wealth by conquering the Ardic people who had themselves mostly migrated either south or north-west. They can sometimes be identified by their wide noses and low cheekbones, though there is not much of a genetic homogeneity to the Runic people but rather a cultural and familial link.
