The Kraevrox

'The Betrayers'

The Kraevrox are a minority found amongst the Driseth people, as well as amongst the Mozai people and the Skoynea people around the borders between the 3 people's lands. Contrary to the rest of the population in these regions, the Kraevrox believe in the use of science and most do not believe in the existence of deities.

Culture

Major language groups and dialects

Drisethan, Skoynean, Mozain

Shared customary codes and values

The Kraevrox all believe that to reject science, particularly the science of medicine, is to reject the natural progression of the Naera species. They believe that such a rejection will doom their people into extinction when a large natural disaster occurs and the people of Orlas have no way to combat it.

Average technological level

The Kraevrox have a much higher understanding of science than the general populace of Driseth, Mozai and Skoynea. They have managed to attain a greater level of technology, many of them carrying small robots as entertainment and using larger ones to help deliver messages and such.   Hidden inside one of their shared houses, the Kraevrox have stowed away a communication device which will allow them to contact spaceships within range, as well as the people of Ettroy when the other moon is close enough. This is important for the Kraevrox as it gives them a chance to receive supplies that are not native or are rare to their world, and gives them news of the events outside their own planet.   Previously, the Kraevrox were in possession of a rocket which allowed a number of them to explore the rest of their solar system or permanently leave Laethius if they wished. However, the High Priests of the Ota Ilukan caught wind of the location of the rocket and managed to sabotage the vehicle, causing it to explode.

Common Dress code

Those who are openly Kraevrox will reject the use of quathaquits silk, refusing to wear it to celebrations and never sleeping on beddings made from that silk. Other Kraevrox, those who hold some belief in the deities or those who wish to insult the people who oppose the Kraevrox, will wear wrist ties made of dark blue quathaquits silk to signify their belief in the sciences and their rebellion against the norm.
