Gamani

Gamani is the hotbed for magical training and mages in general. The primary talents of mages in this region tend to be Abjuration and Evocation magics, however the migration of Way of the Elements monks is starting to change the demographics as time goes on. The city borders the Western desert and therefore is responsible for most of the mining in the area, however resources are ferried back to Kuju for processing and storage. This is the smallest city in the region and persists solely due to its Shogun, Choo Wei, who was the brother of the First Emperor and holds a great deal of respect from the resident magic users and other shoguns.

Demographics

Predominantly high elf, half elf and human with a smaller population of orcs and half orcs. The remaining less than five percent of the population is other races. Primarily magic users and the common mining class. Minimal military presence as the resident mages are more than capable of defending their city.

Government

Headed by the Shogun of Gamani who ultimately answers to the Emperor of Shinjuku.

Defences

A single contingent of soldiers, directly under the Shogun's command, and all of the magic-weilding occupants of the city. The city is surrounded by doubled half-walls which act as more of a miniaturized echo of the walls surrounding Kuju. These were actually created more for drainage than defense, as they separate the residential areas from the farms. The primary defense of the region is a sustained anti-magic field that prevents anything from being cast on the area from outside.

Assets

Mining facilities and extensive rice paddies. Any resources not used in the upkeep of the city are immediately transported to Kuju. Consequently, there are no stores of valuables to attract raids. However, any attempt to attack this city is further dissuaded by the high presence of magic users who are known to sell their services to rich enough patrons.

Geography

Bordering the desert, the ground is made up of hardened clay. This does not support much agriculture other than rice, but allows for mining of iron and what silver or gold can be found with it.
