Doctor Zathrakar
Known as the technologist on the advisor board for Athkar Therion, and also advisor to the previous president Ulach. She was the one who convinced the president to allow for the train-line to connect to Oria directly rather than all trade done between the country of Vive and being driven by caravan to inner Therrisian territory. She is an avid engineer and takes delight in the work she does.
Mental characteristics
Zathrakar is a lost follower of Adris, having been born in the town of Ethereon she had experienced what the village of Ethereon is like. She herself never quite understood their culture and growing up in it always felt like a social outcast. Having not felt like she fit in with the locals, by the age of 13 she decided she wanted to leave home. She packed up what little she had and set out to find her way in the world(surprisingly with full support of her family). Only bringing the stuff she could she slowly found her way south, camping in several spots. She found her way to a local waterway that split the peninsula of Galvaka and ran along a merchant named Reginald Swift, another catfolk like herself. Reginald was a merchant from Celes, and offered that Zathrakar could travel with him for the time.
She learned of so many amazing wonders that the people of Celes and many others had. The whole nation of Celes has access to a large ship called a "blimp" that some of the nation trade with. Others, like Reginald, prefer to keep their trade on foot, but the theme of merchants still sticks. Zathrakar became obsessed with these blimps and many other of the mechanical inventions that Reginald had. She spent much of her time traveling for two years with Reginald, ending up 15 in the city of Oria, with a wealth of knowledge as a tinkerer. Here she decided to plant herself and try her hand at becoming a therrissian citizen. While the military did not suit her, she obtained citizenship and applied herself at the Capital University where she became an extremely competent engineer. At the university she focused on medical devices for soldiers coming home with injuries, but she was also astute in many other realms of engineering and was quickly picked up by the government as an advisor and member of the iron brand.
She studied from the ages of 13 to 15 on a merchant caravan, repairing the caravans as needed, and learning about the inventions the nearby nations had created. With all the spare gold she had she would purchase texts that spoke of the sciences and quickly became an astute student on the caravan. When she hit the age of 15 she settled down in a cit called Oria where she studied at the Capital University to become an engineer, focusing on physics.
As a child she was one of a litter that lived within Ethereon. Her family hunted and gathered for food an was rarely taught to do much of anything other than enjoy life and survive. As she aged she worked under the caravan that Reginald Swift owned, and as a student worked at a local train-line. Working to repair and enhance the trains that came in and out of Alderney. She's currently employed as the advisor of the president of Therris, as well as a leading engineer for the Iron Brand.
President (Vital)
Towards Advisor Zathrakar
History
Athkar and Zathrakar met far before they became coworkers. Athkar was one of the people that supported Zathrakar's opinions on the train line, and even further they shared a passion for crunching numbers and statistics. Though there are times when Athkar will go by gut instinct which will always make Zathrakar have a quip in mind to throw at him.
President (Trivial)
Towards Advisor Zathrakar
History
Zathrakar was an up and coming engineer that specified in medical engineering. This was not a very common field of study within Therris due to their traditional nature, but during the presidential run Ulach felt they needed to show that they were "keeping up with the times" and named Zathrakar as a potential candidate for their cabinet due to their contemporary knowledge on the sciences.
Throughout the entire presidency Zathrakar and Ulach disagreed heavily in several regards, and even at some points would go times without speaking. This type of behavior has kept through when Athkar named them both cabinet members.
