2020/08/09: The Pirate War Report
General Summary
Knight, Pele, Sith, Lillith, Drake
Knight and Sith fought a dream skull lich monster that tried to invade Sith’s brain while he slept. We got a weird potion bottle out of it. Pele and Lillith went scouting.
Found ships:
Conquistadors. Apparently part of undead faction opposing another faction, trying to keep that other faction in the area.
Vampires. Ship is very red and smells like blood. Captain is a fancily dressed vampire woman.
“The Vile Hydra”. Giant ship consisting of five ships held together by a giant kraken, with a bunch of dragon bones mixed in. Practically a mobile dungeon in and of itself. Keith is on this ship. Lillith saw intelligent wights escorting him to see the admiral. Admiral is Admiral Nauticus, who looks like a skinnier Captain Barbossa. The admiral winked at the hidden Lillith. The admiral is the head of the second fleet, not affiliated with Keith’s fleet. The admiral wants a scroll/scrolls that the other fleet has. Lillith pickpocketed a scroll from him. He has a lot more.
Keith is on the Dark Princess.
“Set’s Revenge”. Ship with Egyptian theme. Captained by a coterie of liches, with lots of skeleton archers and undead snakes. Has at least one of the pirate scrolls.
The pirate war has begun! All the factions started attacking each other, with all trump cards coming into play, as we were searching the fog for Keith’s ship in hopes of finally making our strike. We shrank ourselves and hid in Lillith’s pocket to head for Keith’s ship, leaving our own ship in the hands of the muppet pirates. For the muppet pirates, it was their moment of glory: They somehow managed to get to Keith’s ship before we did, and then they managed to hit a swell and have the Osprey bodily tackle the Dark Princess! This turned the Dark Princess into a lever, launching Keith from the bow into the sky. Lillith stole his backpack off him while he was in midair.
Then we got chased by the admiral and his pirate ship mechs. The monk we rescued earlier directed Tetrogravis (the ship we ended up on) to Godzilla, who scared off the admiral’s group. Then Lillith rolled a crit success to soothe it back to sleep.
