After nearly 20 years of War, the Taliban launched a massive assault and with the severely reduced number of Americans in the country, left the severely demoralised, under-supplied and unprepared Afghanistan security forces to fend for themselves.   After 4 months of the gruelling fight, underwhelming responses from Western Forces. The Taliban fully defeat to the Islamic Republic and emplace a Theorcracy. Republican insurgency began soon after and would become the start of the War of the Sands .   Freedom in Afghanistan would not return for a very, very, very long time.
