The Battle of Maradi

Military: Skirmish

US Forces were ambushed by unknown insurgents in Maradi, Niger. The Insurgents successfully engaged the Convoy for about 1 hour until the US was forced to call in Air support. The Drones mistakenly bombed civilian structures during the battle, killing 3 and injuring 16 non-combatants.   US Legitimacy in Niger is attacked by Russia as evidence of US negligence. US State department bickers with Russian officials over their handling of the Ukraine Conflict.
