After the Insurrection, President Winters was immediately removed from power by the US Military and the FBI's SWAT units and DHS Officers mobilised and surrounded the building with mobs of capitol police locking the city off and mass arresting any and all figure heads including the family members of Harold Winters.
On the 9th, DHS and FBI moved on the Capitol after the Speaker of the House was executed by Zeltskin. The Engagement was a high-intensity combat scene, with squads of Infantry fighting each other and 3 SWAT Apcs being taken out by RPG-7s.
There were also various firefights between capital police and active shooters in various hotels and public areas like malls. Despite the best efforts of Law Enforcement, they could not retake the Capitol Building.
By the 10th, National Guard Units arrived en mass and secured the city. After the Terrorists failed to communicate and killed 5 Democratic Senators on the 12th. Strike Teams engaged with Active Shooters. About 8 Sqauds of the National Guard breached the Capitol building taking heavy casualties.
An extra 3 Sqauds reinforced and righteously downed multiple Terrorists, capturing many and finally killing most of the Russian Ultra Nationalists and apprehending Zeltskin before he could kill the Vice President.
After the 12th, the Building and City were fully secured with pockets of resistance still being defeated.
About 44 Servicemen had died, and 109 Law Enforcement Officers perished. About 20 Democrat Senators and 5 Republican Senators died. The Vice President was debilitated for life after losing an eye and the Democrat Speaker of the House had perished.
About 205 Suspects were downed and the rest were arrested and facing life in prison.
