Cadash
A world on the edge of apocolypse
"This world has many names, but the one that is most spoken is Cadash. I find it the most pleasing too. Perhaps because it is the combination of two words in Elder Speech. Cad means life and Ash means now. It is the place you are living in right now. Of course that is what First Folk say, but Yeno's children have a different story and so do Ashtyr's. And I hear down in Ejo they call our world something else. So who knows the truth. But I like my story the best."
- An old Sakasta named Four Riddles
Geography
The world of Cadash is separated into four distinct areas.
- There is the northern continent of Reluria, where the might civilizations based on the old Tyrian Empire reside.
- There is the southern continent of Ejo which is considered one of the most ancient lands on the planet, and still in the hold of the long dead Jade Empire.
- To the west is the The Sea of Dread with it's island chains and of course the infamous Isle of Dread, also called Taneroa.
- To the east is the Sunbirth Sea or Sun Sea. Vast and empty few explore this kingdom of Ravani. Rumors persist that another continent lies across the Sun Sea, but they have avoided contact with the rest of Cadash for unknown reasons.
History
It is said that Cadash was created by the three great gods (Ashtyr, Kor and Yeno ) after they believed they defeated Chaos. It was here they tested their creative powers and decided to bring new life to their domain.
All three had a say in the design of the world itself, but it was Kor who brought forth the first life of plants and animals. He would continue his work inspired by his sisters to craft the First Folk. As time passed his sisters would introduce their folk, and gift the lands with vast variety.
But always Chaos intrudes and the world and its people find themselves swept up in the conflict, and eventually the very focus of it.
