Caeles

One of the abilities understood to be innate to caeles (and later Relictus) is the ability to send messenger butterflies. These butterflies take a shape unique to the caeles to which they belong. The color of the butterfly is the same as the celestial's magic. These butterflies are used to send short messages--generally to other celestials. Although, some have been known to use them to communicate with mortals as well. However, it takes more magic to send a message across planes as opposed to within the same plane. Most celestials need to actually speak the words out loud to give them to the butterfly but a particularly skilled user can send a message wordlessly. On the other end, most butterflies are only able to be heard by the person to whom they are sent, but that is determined by the sender.

Dietary Needs and Habits

Caeles only need to eat every few days. Due to this, few celestials are interested in elaborate or high-effort foods.

Perception and Sensory Capabilities

Caeles are attuned to the auras of other caeles and relicti and as such, can feel when another celestial being Realm-Steps into an area. Strong or old caeles may also be able to detect the non-Realm-Stepping approach of others as well.

Body Tint, Colouring and Marking

Caeles have grey skin--shades range from light to dark. Their veins which hold blue blood are very close to the surface of their skin and as such, have many spiderweb-like blue lines all over their body. They all have the Mark of the Maker shining golden in the center of their forehead. They will also have The God-Mark of the god they service somewhere on their body.
