The Roc Invasion

The Conflict

Prelude

The explorers of the Verdant Jungle reported an unusual amount of Rocs on the borders of the Verdant Jungle and that it seemed the sources of their food were dwindling at a rapid pace. A few weeks later farmers started to report to the local Barons and Baroness that Rocs were being spotted closer to the farms.

Deployment

During the early hours of the day a flock of Rocs started their descent on the farmsteads bordering the edge of the Verdant Jungle. The Rocs scavenged any sources of food they could find, most particularly livestock. The local guards attempted their best to prevent significant lost but their training didn't deal with large aerial combatants.

Battlefield

Most of the battles took place at the very border of the Verdant Jungle of the northern territories. Most of the times the Rocs were able to advance forward due to their aerial capabilities. It wasn't till the later weeks of the conflict that the Rutgarian armies were taking the battle to the Rocs in the Verdant Jungle.

The Engagement

The Rocs either used their mass to crush the Rutgarian forces, or they utilized their strength to lift multiple foes up and drop them from a great height to kill them.
The Rutgarian forces utilized ballista, explosive bolas, and magical means to counter the Rocs aerial advantages.
