Malidictum Federation

The Malidictum Federation is a unique civilization made up of multiple alien races from across the galaxy. Rather than relying on science and technology, the Malidictum Federation is centered around the use of advanced magic. This magic has been honed over centuries and is wielded by many of the Federation's member races, including the primary member race, the Malidicta. The Federation is actually the oldest interstellar society to border the Neutral Zone around the Earth, and second only to the Vendoshan Theocratic Interrignum in total claimed systems. The Federation is also the interstellar society that was the last to establish contact with Earth, being introduced only very recently by Judicar and Peazzle ambassadors. The Malidictum representatives at the Exo Days tournament is their first known visitation to Earth.   The Malidictum Federation is a complex society with a strict hierarchical structure, based on the various magical abilities possessed by its member races. The most powerful races are those with the strongest magical abilities, and they are often given leadership roles within the Federation. The Malidicta, being among the most powerful and skilled magic users, are considered one of the ruling races and have significant influence over the direction of the Federation. All told the Malidictum Federation covers 222 planets over 199 solar systems, in a broad scatter mostly rimward along the Orion-Cygnus arm. Interestingly many Federation systems are interspersed in territory claimed by the Pendraxian Judicar Legion.   Despite their reliance on magic, the Malidictum Federation is a highly advanced society. They have developed many unique technologies that are based on the combination of magical principles and advanced science developed, including transportation, communication, and weaponry. However, the Federation's primary focus is on the advancement and refinement of magical knowledge, and their greatest achievements are often in the form of new magical spells and abilities.   The Malidictum Federation is a fascinating civilization that has found a way to thrive in a universe filled with vastly different races and cultures. Their use of advanced magic to shape-shift and conceal their true appearances has allowed them to form alliances and build relationships with other races that might otherwise be impossible. With their powerful magic and advanced knowledge, the Malidictum Federation is a force to be reckoned with in the galaxy.   Artistic depiction of disguised Malidictum Federation team at Exo Days.

Structure

The Malidictum Federation has a complex organizational structure that is designed to support the use of magic and to facilitate the pursuit of knowledge and progress within the Federation. The organization structure is based on a hierarchy that is determined by magical power and ability, with the most powerful races and individuals holding the highest positions of authority.   At the highest level of the organization structure is the High Council, which is made up of representatives from each member race of the Malidictum Federation. The High Council is responsible for making decisions that affect the entire Federation, such as forming alliances with other civilizations or deciding on new research projects to pursue. The High Council is led by a council leader who is chosen from among the most powerful and respected members of the council.   Below the High Council are the various departments and research organizations that are responsible for pursuing specific areas of magical research and development. Each department is led by a department head, who is responsible for overseeing the work of their team and reporting to the High Council on their progress. The departments work together to advance the overall knowledge and abilities of the Federation in different areas of magic, such as divination, transmutation, and necromancy.   At the individual level, members of the Malidictum Federation are divided into orders based on their magical abilities and specialties. The orders are responsible for training and supporting individual members in their pursuit of magical knowledge and skills. Each order has its own hierarchy, with the most skilled and experienced members holding higher positions of authority and responsibility.   The Malidictum Federation also has a military organization, known as the War Council, which is responsible for the defense of the Federation and the protection of its member races. The War Council is made up of skilled magic users and scientists who are trained in combat and strategic planning, as well as merging their expertise into cohesive plans. The War Council is led by a commander who is chosen for their skill and experience in both magic, science and warfare.   Overall, the organization structure of the Malidictum Federation is highly hierarchical and based on magical power and ability. This structure is designed to support the pursuit of knowledge and progress within the Federation, while also maintaining a strong defense and protection of its member races.

Culture

The culture of the Malidictum Federation is deeply rooted in the use of magic and the pursuit of knowledge. As a civilization that relies on advanced magic instead of science, the Federation's member races have developed a unique perspective on the universe and their place within it.   One of the most important values in the Malidictum Federation is the pursuit of knowledge. Magic is seen as a powerful tool that can be used to understand the universe and the beings that inhabit it. As a result, many member races devote themselves to the study and mastery of different types of magic. This pursuit of knowledge is highly respected and celebrated throughout the Federation, and those who make significant discoveries or breakthroughs in magical research are often lauded as heroes.   Another key aspect of the culture of the Malidictum Federation is the importance of community and cooperation. The Federation is made up of multiple races, each with their own unique abilities and perspectives. However, all member races are united by their shared reliance on magic and their desire to work together to advance their collective knowledge and power. This sense of unity is reinforced by regular gatherings and festivals where member races come together to celebrate their accomplishments and share their latest discoveries.   The Malidictum Federation also places a great deal of importance on tradition and respect for elders. Many member races have been practicing magic for centuries, and their knowledge and experience are highly valued by younger generations. As a result, elders are often looked to as sources of wisdom and guidance, and their opinions are taken into account when making important decisions.   Despite their fearsome appearances, the member races of the Malidictum Federation are generally peaceful and focused on the pursuit of knowledge and understanding. They are not aggressive or expansionist, and instead prefer to maintain peaceful relationships with other civilizations and explore the mysteries of the universe through the lens of magic. The culture of the Malidictum Federation is one of respect, cooperation, and a deep appreciation for the power of magic.

Assets

The Malidictum Federation consists of 222 planets over 199 solar systems. There are reportedly 66 sapient races that belong to the Federation, although the Malidicta are believed to be the most numerous of them.

History

The history of the Malidictum Federation in relation to the other interstellar societies around the Neutral Zone is a long and complex one. As the oldest interstellar society bordering the Neutral Zone around Earth, the Malidictum Federation has had many interactions with the other societies over the centuries, ranging from peaceful diplomatic relations to violent conflicts.   One of the earliest interactions between the Malidictum Federation and the other interstellar societies occurred when the Vendoshan Theocratic Interrignum, a powerful theocracy known for their mastery of psionics, began to expand their borders towards the Neutral Zone. This expansion brought the Vendoshan Empire into conflict with the Malidictum Federation, which was then a smaller and less powerful organization. The resulting conflict, which was fought with both magic and psionics, ultimately ended in a stalemate and the establishment of a Neutral Zone between the two societies.   The Peazzle Emperium, a society known for their advanced technology and cybernetic enhancements, first made contact with the Malidictum Federation through a peaceful diplomatic mission. The two societies established a trade relationship, with the Malidictum Federation providing magical artifacts and the Peazzle Emperium providing advanced technology. However, this relationship was later strained by the discovery of an illegal magical artifact trade that was being conducted by members of the Malidictum Federation. The resulting conflict was resolved through diplomatic negotiations and the arrest of those responsible for the illegal trade.   The Pendraxian Judicar Legion, a society known for their rigid legal system and powerful military, has had a tense relationship with the Malidictum Federation. The two societies have come into conflict several times over the centuries, with each conflict being resolved through diplomatic negotiations or military action. The most recent conflict occurred when a group of Malidictum Federation researchers discovered a powerful magical artifact on a planet claimed by the Pendraxian Judicar Legion. The resulting conflict was ultimately resolved through diplomatic negotiations, with the artifact being shared between the two societies.   Overall, the history of the Malidictum Federation in relation to the other interstellar societies around the Neutral Zone has been marked by a mixture of conflict and cooperation. The Malidictum Federation's unique reliance on magic has often put them at odds with the other societies, but their pursuit of knowledge and cooperation has also allowed them to establish peaceful relations and alliances with many other civilizations.
