Demographics

The Bulwark is home to hardy folk. Transients, soldiers, goblin gang members, stalwart merchants, mercenaries, researchers whose experiments are too volatile for more civilized areas, and blue-collar families looking for the security that comes from being so close to Sunhome.

Defences

Most homes and shops in this neighborhood are reinforced structures that can withstand most assaults. With the Boros guildhall so close, official aid is never far.

Industry & Trade

Weapons and armor are plentiful in the Bulwark. Where Tin Street winds through the precinct, almost anything is available for a bit of searching and the right price.

Guilds and Factions

Both the Boros and Izzet guildhalls are located in this neighborhood, flanking it from the east and west respectively. The Gruul Clans frequently raid the area from the Red Wastes to the north, and the Cult of Rakdos likes to stoke the fires of conflict here, sowing mayhem and destruction.

Architecture

Bulwark buildings are just that: bulwarks against the day-to-day threats of the area. Single-story houses of reinforced concrete and barred windows, low general stores with solid iron portcullises, and playgrounds make of war debris characterize the majority of this neighborhood.
