As the only paladin currently in the Von Zarovich Family, Peter's been an outcast most of his life. A few years before the split, he took to being as much of a disgrace to the family name as possible, hoping that eventually Strahd von Zarovich himself will emerge to scold him, leaving an opening for attack. As his timing ended up a little off, instead Vasili tracked him down early on, recruiting him to the cause. Now one of two members of the Von Zarovich line solidly on the side of the Alchemist, Peter excitedly learns all he can from the Order and looks forward to the day he can use all he knows to kill The Creature.
