Mistborn
The many types of beings formed by The Mists with seemingly no original creature to base them on have long been called the Mistborn. They can range from justice-minded fenhounds to violently combative Ferrymen. Whatever their form, it appears they all follow a sort of dream logic to their actions and abilities, the most powerful twisting the world around them to suit their needs. The good news is that so long as one stays in a domain and avoids deeds of extreme evil, the Mistborn will largely stay away. It's when someone walks through their realm or attracts attention that they descend upon their prey.
To call the Mistborn a species, however, implies that even one of them has a mind of its own and some measure of free will. In every encounter reported, the Mistborn in question seems less of a unique being and more of an extension of The Mists. That said, as the survival rates of the higher functioning Mistborn in captivity are extremely low, so chances are that we just don't know enough about them and probably never will.
