Vaultmaster (vɔltˈmæstər)

Introduction

The Vaultmaster is the Yiptin Exarch of Vaults, Coins, and Debt on Hallus. Backed by the entire Keeper's Pantheon, the Vaultmaster deals in all forms of currency with an emphasis on Divine Tokens and soulbound contracts. As the living embodiment of Hallus economy, the Vaultmaster has grown cruel and desperate during the SunFade and has changed tactics from careful negotiation to cruel subterfuge and manipulation to keep his faithful in line.

Ascension

The Vaults of Hallus have been a part of Yiptin folktales for as long as their tales have been spoken. The oldest of such speaks of a lone Yiptin seeking shelter during a particularly violent Purge. Desperate and dying, he delved deep into a mountainous cave despite understanding it was likely home to Chitinfolk. But to his suprise, no hivewalls were found and instead a massive door that proclaimed itself the Vault 001. The story tends to diverge from their, stating that he either opened the door and was gifted Divinity by the vault itself or he gained Divinity when realizing what contents were laid to rest within the vault and swore to protect it.
