Will Treaty
Ranger Will (True Family-Name Unknown) Treaty (a.k.a. Cho-Cho)
His mother died in childbirth. His father died a hero. Please care for him. His name is Will. The note Halt attached to Will's blanket when he left him outside Castle Redmont's ward.

Slice onions into thin sections, chop potatoes into small chunks, and mash a garlic clove until it becomes a paste.
Heat a pot over the embers of a fire until the metal is heated, then add a small amount of oil and the onions. Occasionally stir.
When the onions have browned and begun to sizzle, add the garlic paste and your choice of seasoning. Continue to stir.
Add the meat and stir until they are thoroughly coated in the broth.
Once the meat is mostly cooked, add a small amount of water and the potato chunks.
Optionally: add a glug of red wine.

Halt was the one who had brought Will to Redmont's ward, and had watched Will grow up. Seeing potential in Will, he offered to take him as an apprentice. At first Halt was stern and unemotional towards Will. Will had found him to be grim and almost frightening at times. Deep down Halt had a deep affection for Will. The first time they really showed their care for each other was during "the boar hunt," when Will was nearly killed while protecting Horace from a boar. When Halt saved Will from the boar, they embraced, Will looking to Halt for protection. After the events at the ruins of Castle Gorlan, Will was offered a place in Battle School bust chose to stay apprenticed to Halt. That was when Will first saw him smile, cementing their father-son like relationship.
