Quaji

Quaji, the 7th planet, remains as a reminder to Wildspace. A reminder of the horrors that can exist when creatures are allowed full reign of their cosmos. The planet itself is a simple gas giant, made largely of hydrogen and helium. But Quaji, long ago, was the center of operations for the illithid horrors that plagued the entire star system, and the scars of such can never be forgotten.
Quaji featured several moons - Zaguk, now all devoid or corrupted of life, all drained out by the mind flayer menace that dominated them for millennia. Quaji itself ran as a depot of sorts, a centerpoint for the invasion forces that the mind flayers used to send out. Although it was not a very hot planet, its resources were valuable enough to generate use for the illithid.
Some of this was the inherent psionic power that is inherited deep within Quaji. Where this comes from, modern arcanists cannot decipher. Many scientists who have researched the planet say that the immense psionic energies exuded from the planet resemble that of an elder brain, but current technologies disallow anyone from traveling beyond the dense, inaccessible inner gaseous layers of the planet. There are some fears that the entire planet has been corrupted by a massive elder brain, but there is no evidence for such claims, and they are often dismissed.
