Gnolls

These fiendish creatures are the embodiment of carnage. Looking like bipedal hyenas, they move in droves ravaging near by villages and enjoy nothing more than destruction.

Geographic Origin and Distribution

Gnolls of Quai Thu seemed to be clustered South of Tabaxi territory. The boarder between the two species can be marked by what the Tabaxi refer to as the Gnoll Hills and the Stink Bog.

Major Language Groups and Dialects

Gnolls are capable of speaking several languages. They have picked up the common Tabaxi tongue but for the most part speak the demonic language of Abyssal.

History

Although they appear similar to the other bipedal dominions, Gnolls are nothing like the other inhabitants of Quai Thu. While Lizardfolk, Tabaxi, and even Goblins are humanoid, Gnolls are fiends. Their demonic origin can be linked back to their creation by their patron God, Yeenoghu.

Interspecies Relations and Assumptions

Gnolls have a primal bond with hyenas, and they are ever present in Gnolls raiding parties. The two creatures paired together brings out the savagery in both. Hyenas show greater intelligence when in the presence of Gnolls and in return Gnolls' primal rage seems to peak when surrounded by their beasts.
