2/24/21 - I wish for ALL My Enemies to Disappear

General Summary

With the party fully rested, Welcome Tasks set out to tackle the day. First point of order was for Malikae to get some armor from My Brother's Hammer. The blacksmith was happy to oblige for a fellow dwarf and got to work fitting some splint mail. In the meantime, Malikae was given a kite shield, but this drained most of what little funds the party had. Speaking of party funds, the next thing to figure out was what happened to their funds and magic items. Their next stop was to head to the priestess of Mystra to see if anyone had tried to fence their magic items. Upon arriving, they found the priestess mending the hole in her wall and Snorri was quick to step in and aid in the repairs. She explained that no one had come in to sell any of the MANY magic items Welcome Tasks had obtained, which was odd since they are worth quite a lot. There was some discussion of putting a down payment on a Locate Object spell, but ultimately they decided to save their money for now. With that, Milam decided to stay at Mystra's Artistry to do research, Lilly  returned the Amulet of the Planes to Malikae, and the party headed towards The Butcher's Block.
It was a short stop at the Halfling establishment. The party hoped to speak with Forrarro Merryman, their contact within the Thieve's Guild, about returning the coded ledger they acquired from the Trawl Line. Oddly, they were told by the Halfling at the storefront to come back later, since Forrarro was "out to lunch". With this seeming like a dead end, the party headed to the center of town to see if the Fallmouth City Guard had any leads.
The The Radiant Spires of Dol Dorn stands at the center of town, and when Welcome Tasks arrived there they found a small gathering of guards around the main alter. Upon this large alter laid the stone pieces of Magnus as well as the other petrified Dragonborn. Immediately Malikae, Melkor, and Slayer approached the captain of the guard to see what progress had been made. According to the Chrimson Shield , the whole missing persons discovery started when they could not locate a single mason to repair the dragonborns. Further investigation revealed that over two hundred individuals have disappeared without a trace roughly two days ago. Welcome Tasks had build a report with the Captain and she said that any information the party had come across would be most useful and that they had full support of the Dol Dorn.
Pieces starting fitting into place for Slayer. In the heat of battle with the Yuan-Ti hydra, the Tabaxi had "Wished for his enemies to be gone" and now the repercussions were starting to come to light. It was becoming clear that all Yuan-Ti had been wished away, not just the few enemies within proximity. Feeling that he could trust the guards, Slayer rubbed the lamp and summoned Connaissance the djinn.
Things went south SURPRISING quickly. There was a bit back and forth about what transpired below city and how the "rules" of the djinn worked. There were several attempts diffuse situation and dissuade the Doran, but it became clear the she wanted that djinn. The lamp itself stood in between herself and the three party members and simultaneously all four individuals made a grab for lamp. Slayer, being the most dexterous, swiftly grabbed the lamp while Malikae and Melkor comically bumped heads trying to prevent the captain from touching the lamp. The captain interestingly seemed to disappear as soon as she made a move towards the lamp. With the captain gone, djinn summoned, and surrounded by Dol Dorn guards, it was clear it was time for Welcome Tasks to hightail it out of the Quinthedral .
Slayer made use of his great speed and dramatically ran through the stain glass window at the near end of the church with the lamp in hand. He was met with little resistance, as anyone who so much as threatened him was wished out of existence. Melkor and Malikae did not have it as easy, but thanks to Melkor casting Haste the pair was able to make a quick retreat to an alley and rendezvoused with Slayer. A test was performed and Welcome Tasks learned that the wish Slayer had asked for was still in effect. Anyone who tried to harm Slayer was removed from the material plane. Where they went or even if they were still alive is still unknown, but it was clear this is a problem. To prevent more people from people being wished away, the party decided to leave the city and talk out what to do.
Before leaving the city, Malikae picked up his fitted split mail from the blacksmith and casted Message. He informed the other members of Welcome Tasks not present at the Quinthedral to meet outside the city where they had once camped before exploring the elvish ruins for an emergency meeting. We now find ourselves a fair distance outside of Fallmouth, and now it times to discuss what needs to be done about Slayer's wish.
