The Desmarais Sentinel
The Desmarais Sentinel is a rangers guild dedicated to hunting the alligators of Les Marais Severin. It's an old order spawning from the tradition of the hunt, and the small faction is motivated by glory and personal accomplishment. They are directly supported by House Desmarais. Their Guildhall is located in the Severin District. Currently they are led by Julien Leandres.
Structure
It's ruled by Julien Leandres, who was appointed by Fabien Raphael Justice Desmarais to the position. He is very competent, and his position is very stable. He is a respected ranger and hunter and his skill with the bow is renowned.
Culture
Members of The Desmarais Sentinel are identifiable by their pet companions. Most choose dogs, others choose ferrets or cats. Membership requires referral by an existing member, a test of skill with the bow and costs twenty gold pieces. The initiation into The Desmarais Sentinel involves an oath to be taken.
Public Agenda
The Protectors of Trees have some strong allies; A veritable army of nobles and a veritable army of priests can be called on for aid.
Assets
They have significant resources. Sheafs of magic scrolls are part of those resources. Also at their disposal are a handful of artifacts, the support of House Desmarais, and a collection of rare hunting weapons.
