Great job balancing the gruesome details with the emotion here! It really draws me into the story and into their state of mind. The treatment of the wounds feels uncomfortably realistic without crossing the line, and their sexual relationship is nicely woven into the current mood to emphasize how messed-up this current situation is. I hope things work out well for them and their people in the end.
