The World of Zuth

The world Zuth is the ninth in order from its star. There are three worlds which orbit beyond Zuth. The world itself is only slightly larger than earth and has a longer day night cycle and year. A full day on Zuth is 36 hours with the hours of day and night varying depending on the time of year. There is a total of 477 days on Zuth. Unlike earth only about 66% of the planet’s surface is covered in water.   On Zuth Humans make up a small percentage of the planets population. Humans on the Destravorlia Continent dare not stray too far from the safety of the Testial Empire. Those that do rarely return if not properly trained to fend off the powerful beasts that lurk in the uncharted land. Several known human kingdoms exist outside of the Empire and those that cross the uncharted lands or slay monsters that enter the Empire’s territory are known as Argonauts. While Argonauts are employed through Guilds which operate under the authority of the Empire.   To the east of the Testial Empire is the Elvish Imperium which is as the name implies a kingdom of Elves. The Imperium functions in much the same way as the human kingdom when it comes to guilds and Argonaut. They however being a more dominate species rarely interfere in the effects of man as long as they hold to the Treaty of White and Gold. Which insures peace and free trade between the two nations. The Elves are masters of a style of Magic called Natural Mage Arts which is a less destructive doctrine in comparison to human’s magic.   Along the same border and to the North of the Elvish Imperium is Dragon Territory which is home to the ancient and feared Elder Dragons. Dragon Territory is considered to be holy ground to dragons. Anyone that enters must ask permission or face the wrath of the Dragon Lord of Lords Dramon Pax; the Old Deus they worship. While most dragons are content with the Dragon Territory young dragons have on rare occasion encroached on human or elven land. In such event the military often has to wage a campaign to route the dragon back home through force. Even though these occurrences are rare casualties from military,Argonauts and civilians can be well into the thousands before a Dragon is willing to leave once it has claimed lands. Even so Elder Dragons are amongst the wisest and most skilled magic users on Zuth with Dramon standing above even them.   To the west lies the Yamishe Alliance which is home to many tribes of orcs. The Yamishe Alliance is currently hostile towards the both the elves and humans because of the lands they expanded their Kingdoms on were once Orc tribal lands. While the orcs have limited knowledge of any of the arcane they make up for this with numbers and physical strength. The Alliance is also home to the dragon-tails an enslaved group of lizard men conquered by the orcs. While the lizard men were once intelligent they were broken to become savage under the orc’s inslavement.   To the far south is the Heretic Land which is home to the powerful Jinn people. It is an inhospitable and dangerous place to most races. While the Jinn rival the Dragons in power, they are typically peaceful. They are said to grant wishes to those foolish and brave enough to traverse the Heretic Lands in order to find them. The Jinn are rarely seen due to their dislike of travel preferring things come to them.   To the East of the Heretic Lands is a small Human Kingdom known as Slangreyli. The humans that live in this kingdom are mixed breeds with the fay which used to live there. Due to discrimination the Testial Empire and Slangreyli are not on good terms politically. Thought due to the difficulty in traversing the hostile lands between the two kingdoms this has little baring on the day to day of either kingdom.   The greater world beyond this is largely a mystery to the human kingdoms.
