The Kirithan Empire

The empire that rose and lasted through the entirety of the Age of Kirith, also known as the Age of Light. It had but a single emperor. Azariah Kirith considered the greatest son of The Void ever born. While often voiced as a Magocracy by the vast majority of people, in technicality it was a technocracy, merely due to the influence and power of mages in this time. It was an empire though that valued the advancement of science, reason, magic, and more, this though was often at the consequence of the rest of the world.

The advocation of the advancement of the sciences, arcane studies, and reason without any bounds to assure the world prospers and assure that the world is protected from the Age of Ash.

History

Born during the Age of Decay, the world seemed to be dying. Prospero itself as the conduit of life seemed to be dying. Crops and animals across the world. The mages of arcane blood would fall to their knees as they decayed in front masses of people. Nothing would be left of them but a fragile statue of ash where flesh and blood one stood. This left the world without the powers to protect themselves from catastrophe. It deprived the world of being able to commune with each other. It spread famine and starvation across the world.
From this, a mage known as Azariah would gather many of his kind and work together to forge a solution to this problem even with their faltering magic. It is said that hundreds of Magi gather on that fateful day and only Azariah would live to see the next. He would have two creations that day, the Soulforge and the Star of Kirith. These would allow him to bring nation after nation to bend the knee the mage emperor in hopes to survive.
On the winter solstice of fifteen nineteen age of decay, Kirith made a formal decree to his followers, and the world by envoys, that Kirithan would safeguard them. His protection would allow them to control themselves with no fear of any noble daring to invade them, science and magic would bring them prosperity.
Kirith built his empire on the notion of technological and arcane advancement was of the utmost necessity for the continuation of growth and the preservation of the world. This in time ushered in great and vast constructions and dot every corner of the known world to this very day. The world was set for one of the greatest periods of expansionism in the arcane arts known to history.
Expansion and study without censor or restraint though turned the world resentful of the leaders of their world and Kirith. The people saw themselves as little more than test subjects and pawns for the elite who had power. This along with a wish to return to their traditional bound of leadership caused rebellions across the world and soon enough the gates of Kirith's palace were being broken down and he looked upon the horrors he caused and raised not a hand as his empire ended.
