Prospero

Created by

Prospero, the cradle of civilization, formed in ancient times by the very gods. It is a land of many resources and often wondrous life forms. Forged by the very magic of the Void, the realm of spirits, but in the land is a resource wholly unique to even the world's creators. The ember of life, beings with souls walk its land. It is said that long ago Prospero and The Void were one and the same living beings and the old spirits walked the world together. Together there existed an empire of unparalleled in its majesty. This empire came to an end though as a great shroud broke the worlds apart and for this, a curse fell upon the living. They will forever strive for an empire to match that which was lost, they will succeed in its creation and have eras of prosperity but all things end and their empire shall crumble from the very powers that helped forge it. Into darkness, they shall fall, until they have the strength to forge another.   If this is true none can say outside of faith and myth. For now, the two worlds are separate and no ruin is old enough to say if they were ever one. Legends, prophets, and diviners though claim there will be a day when the strength of the living will be tested. A time when lost horrors and relic of past empires shall rise again in a time of ending. When the great cycle shall draw to a close if the living endures then they shall be free of this curse and their eternal empire rise again. If they fail all shall fall and Prospero shall die as life is extinguish and the endless age of ash begins.   Now the Acadian Magistrate stands as the ruler of the world. It is one of the bloodiest and one of the oldest in remembered history. It is a judge, an administrator, and a master over a large portion of the world. It like so many will do all that it must to survive, whether souls must light their furnaces, bones to stoke the embers, and blood to oil the chains, for the wheels of progress and civilization must never be frozen motionless.
