The Southern People

From the Southern-most banks of the Eye of the South to the furthest edge of the Kubichan peninsula is where the N'weik Ki'a can be found. From the shores of their lakes to the coastlines of their land and through the arid plains that lie between, the endless toil of the N'weik Ki'a to better their community and their people is obvious to any who visit.   As believers in the Sashes of Li'tri, the N'weik Ki'a set upon themselves the understanding that their lives may lead them where they might not expect, but that those places are their destinies, no matter how unexpected it may be or how far afield they may travel. In service to their destinies, some may spend their lives following the dunes, travelling between towns to trade goods and services, while others may stay where they were born and pursue their dedications from their homes.   Their Northern-most town of Z'uni is responsible for ensuring that their clan boundaries are not crossed without permission. While the N'weik Ki'a are a hospitable people, they do not like to be set up upon without prior notice. For this reason, the scouts of Z'uni keep an eye on their borders, though they will not interfere with those travelling through them, they will alert nearby towns so that they may prepare for visitors or enemies.

The Unity of the Clans

The travellers in N'weiki territory, should they be polite, can find themselves being guided to avoid most dangers, the most notable of which being known oases of dunewater. Their attitude towards the N'weik Ki'a is paramount to their survival, as hospitality can be revoked as easily as it is given, as it is not unheard of for the clans to leave those who became hostile towards them in the sands without any water.   While their Northern-most town protects their boundaries, the lakeside towns of Bibanti and T'tuni ensure that there is water provided to those travelling the sands. Oases are not uncommon, but their reliability is always in question, as more than once have the clans come up on a known oasis and found it dry, leaving them minimal reserves of water to reach their next stop.   Whether you are friend or foe, understand that the arid dunes of the Southern Peninsula are dangerous, perhaps moreso than the sands North of Wavern's Hold, and that a single misstep can lead you not only to your demise, but pains worse than death.
