Nadezhda

The Nadezhda was the first colony ship that made the journey from Sol to Alpha Centauri. It was built by the New Worlds Foundation and began its journey in 2069.
As generational colony ships, the Nadezhda and its successors needed to be able to carry enough people to found a self sustaining colony as well as the necessary equipment, and keep them alive over the almost 40 years of the journey. For this reason, they were the largest vehicles ever built. After landing, they were partially disassembled and converted into the central buildings of the new colonies. Today, the Nadezhda is the seat of the Trinary Federation, located at the heart of Nadezhda City.
