The Fifth (Valkiir'zol'ru) Character in Project Chaos | World Anvil

The Fifth (Valkiir'zol'ru)

A being that is both an attraction and a repulsion of the Universe, Wielder of many Mantles

And it was so, that when Chronos, Zan'nal'takriin, Ri'ful'dan, and Kol'kal'aniir Enkru'vii all reunited once more after their separation from the singularity, The Fifth Appeared. Both a resulting and preceding force to the Universe itself, that which both binds and bends reality to its liking, a wielder of many Mantles, both known and unknown.
- Avernia Kiin'tel. An Introduction to the 5 Primordials
The 5th and last to emerge after the Singularity Bursting event, Valkiir'zol'ru, roughly translated to "The Benevolent Wisp of Majesty," is better known as The Fifth as it has no true name. Of the 5 Primordials, The Fifth has only remained in its ethereal wisp form, never taking a corporeal form. It is unclear as to why. Some speculate the wisp decided not to. Others say that the wisp simply cannot, for it is a force that cannot take corporeal form.   The Myths of Creation, as told by Ancient Demon Lukiin'virai'niir, tell that The Fifth speaks in a coded language that even the Ancients nor the Archangels were able to decipher. Going further, the myths also tell that the Elementals had great difficulty in understanding the wisp, only able to understand when translated by a Primordial. This has led to many believing that The Fifth is unwilling to allow its full knowledge of certain concepts to be learned, even to an Elemental.

Creation and Destruction

Although there is much that is unknown of The Fifth, it exhibits a power that can shape reality to its will. The Fifth, after long and heated debates, is said to have 2 Mantles: creation and destruction, as vague as they may be. When these concepts are thrown around, they are usually umbrella terms for other lesser concepts that can fit into either.   What makes the wisp unique in creation and destruction, is that it needs no elemental prowess to exhibit its power. In an instant, The Fifth can create whatever it wishes from seemingly nothing. In turn, the Fifth can also destroy whatever it wishes, seemingly deconstructing them at the smallest fabrics of reality, erasing them from existence.   Fortunately enough, The Fifth is not a malevolent deity. Many have speculated as to what the wisp can do if angered, not that anyone would ever want to find out.

A Wandering Wisp

In the angelic language, The Fifth is commonly referred to as "a great wanderer." And so it is that the Wisp is indeed a great wanderer. In every pantheon, there are various accounts of The Fifth visiting their plane of existence. Each account all tell the same thing; a bright and majestic being traveling and slow moving, as if observing its surroundings.   Of course, these accounts have led many to theorize on what exactly it is that leads the wisp to wander so much. Demons believe that The Fifth is a great maintainer of the Universe, traveling and looking for discrepancies within reality to fix. Angels believe that the wisp travels so much in admiration of what the 5 Primordials built. And many others believe the Fifth to be a great universal guardian, looking for those who threaten the very fabrics of reality.   In recent times, however, a new theory has gained popularity with mortals living in an Afterlife; that the wisp is studying reality, collecting knowledge of this unique universe. As to why is the million dollar question. Some believe the wisp is gathering research, and that when its research is complete, will bring everything together once more. To create once again, a universe of uniqueness.   This does also raise one further question however. If this theory is indeed true, then is this universe the first, or is it perhaps a result of The Fifth's research from a previous one?

"And for twin decades I have long waited to see it. I cannot even put into words of its divinity, for such a majesty can only be put onto a canvas.
