Volopin Woods

The jungle around you teems with life, a vista of movement. Wind rustles the trees and creatures flee through the underbrush as you traverse the dense wilderness, hacking through vines and gnarled roots to clear a path. The heat and humidity are almost overwhelming, and you find yourself soaked with sweat despite the trees towering above you—hundreds of feet tall—branches so dense as to block out the daylight almost completely. In the distance, massive creatures move and howl, and strange and alluring plants block your line of sight. It all feels like another world, and with every step, you feel more unsure of where you are.

The gigantic jungle known as the Volopin woods covers a large part of Northern Taretza. The forest is not considered part of any country or nation and is seen as neutral territory. The jungle is generally avoided due to many people who enter the forest often do not return.
Both due to the many dangerous beasts that live in the jungle, but most that make their way inside seem to have trouble finding the way back out. Yet the beasts of the jungle don't seem to have the same problems, so maybe there is something to learn from them.
