Session 59: Breakout in Niduin Report

General Summary

This session is a continuation of the fight that started on Session 58: Escape the Tar Prisons Report. To start, Arten Veronica Lagurdo, Eldon Caufield and two new allies of the party, Kagain, a fighter dwarf, and a muzzled high-elf were holding the corridor between the mess hall and the eastern staircase in the downstairs of the prison. Omen ei' Taure would also be there, however, he had been banished by an enemy cleric.
In the mess hall, Baradin Godchosen, Nitt , and Takemura Yoshiro and Jaheira, a wood-elf druid, were intercepting a group of knights who had made their way from the southern entrance, trying to stop them from reaching Ironhand who was casting the Teleportation Circle spell that was in a corridor west of the mess hall.
Additionally, north of the mess hall in the kitchen (that had a barred counter to the mess hall, so you could see through), Maro Rei 'Sky' and Joy, a human rouge, were dealing with a lone knight that had made their way through the east corridor to the kitchen.
To start the session, Maro knocked out the knight in the kitchen before activating his Mark of Fire, transforming him into fine, explosive dust. Using this, he moved through the bars, from the kitchen to the mess hall. At the same time, the muzzled elf was banished by one of the enemy Aurelian Oracles, mages of the city and Arten banished the cleric that had banished Omen, making it so Omen returned.
In the mess hall, Baradin activated his Radiance of the Dawn, dealing a blow against most of the knights in the room. In return, two of the knights fired volleys of flaming arrows, hitting almost everyone in the mess hall, leaving Jaheira on death's door. Eldon now returned to the mess hall and seeing the situation unleashed a Chain Lightning against the knights, almost finishing them off. before Nitt used a Steel Wind Strike to kill most of the knights excpet two.
Before mort knights arrived, Omen ran around the place, healing his allies with his Balm of Peace as they gathered in the mess hall. As Eldon was coming to join them, two knights arrived from the eastern stairs and fired again him, removing his Mirror Images and striking him several times. The two now remaining knights in the mess hall managed to also get a good angle to fire volleys, hitting most of the characters in the corridor near Ironhand. With everyone being quite damaged and exhausted, Eldon and Jaheira cast two powerful Mass Cure Wounds to bring them back up to shape.
The party began grouping up in the mess hall as Ironhand's spell was nearing completion when three of the aurelian oracles gained vision into the room and hit the party with powerful AoE effects. In response, Nitt Counterspelled one of them with an 8th level sell before casting Reverse Gravity, making it so all the enemies on their from the east were suspended in the ceiling, however, as Nitt cast the spell, he caused a Magical Overload, summoning a Hezrou next to him.
But as the teleportation circle finished, the party rushed through, leaving the muzzled elf, that had gotten banished, behind. Inside the tower, Ironhand called out the name Cheshire [Shesure] and a brown-gray fluffy cat took a staircase to the party. The cat introduced itself as the watcher of the tower and told Ironhand most of his belongings in the tower had been removed. Ironhand then said that they should quickly move out of the tower and find a better hiding place.
As the party began to make their way out of the tower, a voice spoke out: "Ah, So you have returned. I hope your visit down there was pleasant. Sadly, we had to remove most of your belongings from the tower. I must also inform you that my opinion and objective has not changed and soon the project shall be completed. This is the last warning."
