S01E03 - The Doctor will see you now...
General Summary
In the office of one Dan Drake , all is calm and quiet. It has been a peaceful day thus far, until Sandy Suffolk makes her way up the stairs where Janine Melnitz is busy typing away on the ancient computer her boss has for her to use. Once inside, Sandy asks, "Can I speak to Mr Grimm?" At which, Janine looks somewhat confused before Sandy corrects herself.
Once that faux pas is dealt with, leaving Janine hopefully none-the-wiser, Sandy tells Dan about the run-in with The Nightmare Man and how she helped an ex-soldier by the name of Frank Castle.
As they are talking, Dan gets a call from a Mr Andrew Aldridge, who requests to speak with Mr Drake regarding a missing person. Dan agrees to see the man who turns up a short time later. Andrew Aldridge is a wealthy man. It's entirely evident in his clothes, his mannerisms and his clear distaste for the office in which he finds himself (the latter he is quite good at hiding). He is searching for his sister Adrianna Aldridge. He advises that she stopped responding on social media four days ago and disappeared two days ago. He also says that he arrived in town yesterday and is staying at the Imperial Hotel in The Quays. He also pays extra to ensure absolute discretion, as this could reflect on the family.
Once he has gone, the detective duo start looking up details regarding Ms Aldridge. They pull up her social media and confirm what they have been told, also discovering that she advocates for social healthcare, much to the annoyance of her family. They also find that she works at Millennium City General Hospital and Campus and is the youngest doctor on staff.
The couple make their way to Clearsky Appartments, where Ms Aldridge lives. Dan scuttles past the paparazzi and reporters gathered there, trying to get a glimpse of a celebrity, such as Scott Star, AKA Comet. He manages to gain entry to talk to the concierge who, once he is satisfied that Dan is on the level, advises the detective that she was last seen 2 days ago and had blood on her clothes.
Our Detective Duo enter the Doctor's apartment through the Dreamscape. Once in the apartment, they are attacked by a huge Hound. Morpheus drops them back to the real world, where the Hound turns out to be Ms Aldridge's pet chihuahua, Charlie. Morpheus gets a quick lesson in representation of the Dream-self in the Dreamscape.
Grimm, as Tom Thumb, starts searching for clues. They find:
- Bloody jumper in the bin in the kitchen
- No sign of bullets or a fight in the apartment itself
- Messages from mother, brother and an ominous message stating 'You know where to find us'
- They try to look at the laptop, using abilities in the Dreamscape, but end up breaking it
- They do discover, on a calendar, that she has a few days leave pencilled in for this period of time.
