The PRISM Project, created and run by Prescott Industries, was designed to bring clean and affordable energy to Millennium City. Instead, because Silas Prescott and his team of scientists, led by Dr Kirby Wilson didn't fully grasp what they were dealing with, rather than powering a reactor, it caused an unstable vortex to open that caused The Catalyst Event, starting the Modern Heroic Age.
