The Catalyst Event

This is the name given to the series of events that started the current 'Heroic Age'  This was brought about by Silas Prescott trying to use a device of which he knew very little as a power source.  Unfortunately, the PRISM's purpose was unknown to him and he has inadvertantly opened a portal, however briefly and, quote possibly, forever change our world.
