Professor Severus Snape (a.k.a. Sev)
Professor Snape teaches Potions at Hogwarts. From his close friendship with Lucius Malfoy, he has become an unofficial adopted uncle to Draco Malfoy. He attended Hogwarts in the same year as James Potter, Lily Evans, Remus Lupin, and Amelia Bones, but wasn't close to them. Upon meeting Rose Evans, he showed an unusual gentleness to her, suggesting that he was at one time friends with Lily Evans (who Rose closely resembles).

Snape started using beautification potions in his sixth year at Hogwarts because his appearance caused low self-esteem. James supported him, having used the same potions himself for his naturally rosy complexion and unruly hair. After Hogwarts, Snape started dating a girl who died in the war, making him reluctant to enter another romantic relationship. He began calling upon Lady Shizumi when she moved to Scotland, helping her through her transition, but their relationship has not developed due to hesitance on both sides.
