Draco Malfoy is the son of Lucius Malfoy and Narcissa Black. His parents were suspected Death Eaters during the war against Voldemort, resulting in Remus Lupin suspecting Draco of following in their footsteps. However, Draco criticizes his father's political aspirations, desiring to become a Healer like James Potter instead. He forms a tense friendship with Harry, who makes it clear that he's aware that Draco is using him and that he is using Draco as well in order to acclimate to the Magical Community (PS Chap 7).
