Crater of Life
In the south-eastern part of Alvil Forest lies a crafter, once believed to be a lake that was sacrificed by Colibri, Goddess of Healing and Life to save Alvil Forest from a raging forest fire during The Second Conflict of the Gods.
It is believed that Colibri flung a meteor down from the sky into the lake, sending water out across the forest, dousing the raging flames.

Geography
The crater lies inside Alvil Forest, close to the south-eastern edge. Although this is relatively far away from the Sylvanian border, some powers in Sylvania's government wants control of the crater believing it is a potential source of great divine power. They believe that the crater's potential is being wasted by Erekiath, as any study or practice of magic, both divine and arcane, is strictly forbidden.
These Erekian fools! They claim to live by the virtues of The Light, yet they have abandoned The Divine Crater, the signature of Colibri herself! How can you follow The Light, and refuse such a magnificent divine gesture?
Ecosystem
In the middle of the crafter stands a tall tree, believed by some to be the very first Sky Tree. Nothing else of significance grows in the crater. It is covered with lush grass with some occasional flowers, but apart from that, nothing else seems able to grow inside the crater. Any attempt to plant larger plants, bushes or trees have failed.
Natural Resources
Many opportunists have tried to survey the crater in an attempt to find exploitable resources from the remains of the meteor impact. Some seek rare and valuable minerals from the meteor, while others hope to find traces of magical or divine power.
Since the inhabitants of Alvil Forest consider the crater a sacred place, they pleaded The Council of Elders of The Temple of Light in Aurora, to protect it from would be exploiters.
Whether it was because of Erekiath's outlook on magic, or due to the pleas for protection, The Crater of Life was eventually protected by Erekian law, baring anyone from entering, except those granted proper authorization.
