The Qhan Region (qʰɑn)

Qhan one of the eight ruling houses of Qh’énnshaiyn and their eponymous barony. Current head, Lord Baron Qa VII t’Qhan, who rules from Qhansroke. Blāen’wen, the Blue Moon, is the patroness of the Qhan Barony and thus their colour is blue and their element, water. This makes sense given that Qhan is favoured by Taos Ghestrè, the largest river in Qh’énnshaiyn, and the barony is along the western coast (called Greiūdeen). The Great Lock is on its southern part of the coast which allows even the largest of Mbaran ships access to the Taos Ghestrè. It is said that the reason the Ghestenyi wear checked blue and silver is because they are of the borderlands of Qhan (blue) and of Breidl (silver), the western coastal baronies. The most significant locations are of course the capital and ancestral holdings of the house, Qhansroke; the Great Lock, built upon the Cascading Delta with coin from the allied House Lihgn; the largest Qh'énnish rivers, the Taos Ghestrè, most of which resides within the barony; and the highland forests which extend into Breidl; and the Greiūdeen coastal cliffs which extend well into Dhaoshee in the south and terminate in the north at Bhuvrischt.
